This year, we are proud to feature the artwork of Basmat Levin with our BASMAT candle collection. Please continue reading below as well as in our INSPIRATION section for more information about these unique candles, of which only a few hundred were created with lots of love & dedication.

The BASMAT GOLD scented candle is infused with a warm, feminine and sensual perfume with notes of bergamot, rose, lavender, amber, sandalwood tonka bean, vanilla, patchouli, nutmeg and leather.

Just like our other candles, this candle is made with 100% botanical wax and has an average burning time of 55-60 hours.

BASMAT Scented Candles
The BASMAT scented candles are unique pieces with a bold, colourful design created by The House of Opulence Home Fragrances in cooperation with the New York based Israeli artist Basmat Levin. Her works are characterised by the same use of expressive colours and positive energy. The name Basmat is derived from the Hebrew name Basemath meaning “sweet smelling” or “fragrance”.  The candle jars can be re-used, for example for your stationary (pens/pencils, etc), teaspoons, kitchen ware, make-up or as a little vase for your flowers. Remaining wax can easily be washed away with hot water.

It is important to make sure the wick is shortened each time before you light the candle. You can easily cut or pull off the extensive part of the wick to approx. 5 mm. Please do not leave parts of the wick inside/on the wax.

  1. When lighting a candle please make sure that the candle is placed on a heat resistant, level surface that is free from draught and flammable objects.
  2. For best results trim wick to 6mm before lighting & relighting.
  3. Extinguish the candle if the flame becomes enlarged; let the wax cool down a bit to then trim its wick.
  4. Keep wax pool free from objects such as burned match heads and wicked trimmings.
  5. Always burn the candle within sight and keep it away from children and pets.
  6. Avoid touching the candle when lit.
  7. Do not allow the candle to burn down completely as the jar’s bottom might become too hot.
