    The AFRICA COLLECTION

    The AFRICA COLLECTION

Each year, The House of Opulence creates a limited edition scented candle collection. This year, we found our inspiration in African textile prints. We love its colorfulness, each pattern telling its own story, often a reflection of Africa’s impressive nature.
On our travels, we have seen these precious prints being worn with pride by the beautiful people of Africa, to whom we pay tribute through this collection. With our candles we spread our light, love and scent and 10% of our revenues go to carefully selected funds helping African communities to build a sustainable future.
We hope you enjoy the unique perfumes of this scented candle collection, which we blended with pure botanical waxes.
The Africa Collection consists of five different designs and scents. To check them out, please click here

For the love of my daughter Frederique

Love Sweet Love – the FEI FEI candle was made out of love for my precious daughter Frederique, who was born in Shanghai in 2011. Honoring her place of birth, we gave her the Chinese name Fei Fei (菲菲), which means luxuriant and rich with fragrance. This has inspired me to create this scented candle carrying her name scented with the delightful accords of rose, bergamot, amber, patchouli and white musk. Frederique picked the colour of the packaging, a warm and bright pink and was very much involved in selecting the final scent. After all, she should love it most! I very much hope you enjoy this scent as much as we do. With love & light, Amiek

    Myrrh

Like Frankincense, Myrrh oil is extracted from resin that oozes from very tough bark of the small, thorny Myrrh tree which is native to some African and Middle Eastern countries . It has a sharp, strong, woody scent and has been used throughout history as a perfume, incense and medicine. Ancient Greek soldiers used to carry Myrrh oil into battle for psychic protection, as well as first aid. Aromatic influences: spiritual awareness, uplifting, soothing, releasing, opening.
